Unboxing: Memebox January Box

This is my final box from Memebox – as the company has decided to desert all its international customers in favour of the US, China and domestic Korea customers, so I will no longer be able to get these pink boxes and reveal their contents. I am so upset with them that I cannot even be bothered to take a clear picture (above). Whatever. Just to warn whoever plans to read this post, it will get rant-y and angsty so just click off if you’d like to read a happy post, I would totally understand.

I am angry and upset at them, but what can I do? I understand that the US and Chinese market are the two largest economies in the world, so if they win over them, they have no more need for the rest of us; it’s a business decision. But I just can’t help thinking that they clearly have terrible business planning. If they couldn’t deal with the business growth globally, why launch their own line of makeup in the process as well? Why not solve the outstanding problems, and then launch their own line? In the end they ended up with a crap box and a crap makeup line.

Unboxing: Memebox Christmas Collection #4 2014 K-Beauty Wrap-up No.2

There was a huge lull in Memebox launches towards the end of 2014 – for such a long time there were no new boxes coming out, and then there were a few Christmas boxes popping up which sold out extremely quickly, so when I finally saw one that wasn’t sold out, I just had to grab it! I honestly did not even read the content of the box when I purchased it – I just had an itch that needed to be scratched!

I bought this for USD29 with another USD6.99 for standard shipping from Korea. The shipping date for this was fixed on 19 December and I received this on 30 December.

Unboxing: Memebox Global #18

It’s finally time for another numbered global box from Memebox! I’ve come to love the global numbered boxes – even more so than the themed ones; they might not always be out of this world, but I also think that when they fall short, it’s never as bad as the themed boxes. I guess it’s also because without a theme, there are less expectations so it’s easier to surprise (in a positive way).

I bought this as a value set with the Memebox Global #17 and #19 – so I only had to pay one standard shipping for 3 boxes. The shipping date for this was fixed on 24 December and I received this on 30 December. The set of 3 boxes cost me USD69, plus another USD6.99 for shipping from Korea. Individually, it’s priced at USD23, plus another USD6.99 for standard shipping.

Unboxing: Memebox Colorbox #6 Pastel Hues

My third Colorbox from Memebox… and I suspect it will be the last. Let’s just get on with it because these colorboxes are really making me pissed off with Memebox. But, I must say that this is the least annoying colorbox out of all 3 that I’ve bought.

I can’t even begin to say why I bought this – brain was not working, too many things on my mind. Shopping is a great therapy! Also, I love jewel tones so just that word suckered me in.

Unboxing: Memebox Colorbox #4 Electric Brights

I never planned to do this but somehow December has become a month of unboxing, particularly for Memebox. But I promise that these will slow down soon – Memebox has not been launching many new boxes so that’s part of the reason, the other part is that I am feeling alright now so I haven’t been shopping like a mad woman anymore so I’m not expecting too many boxes coming my way after December. Unboxing: Memebox Special #67 Blackout!

Another random beauty box that turned up on my door recently – like I mentioned in a previous unboxing post, I bought a lot of beauty boxes during a period of time that I felt really down and shopping was all I did. I really had no idea why I bought some of these…! From the theme of the box, I was expecting some charcoal products, or some ingredients that are black in colour, or something to get rid of black heads. Let’s check it out!

Unboxing: Memebox Special #66 Petit Treasures

I don’t usually go for cute themes or cute product items because I am a ‘little’ too old for such stuff or be seen holding them, but I was a little depressed back then when this box was out, and I bought everything in sight, which explains why I bought a lot of boxes with themes that I wouldn’t usually get. My house is now overflowing with so much products that I will have to sleep on top of my beauty products soon. Anyway, let’s get back to the box!

I received this box a couple of weeks ago, but I’ve been travelling the last couple of weeks so this post is really really late. Anyway, this is my second numbered global box from Memebox – the numbered global boxes are what gave Memebox their reputation as a great surprise beauty box status in the first place, so I have a lot of expectations from these!
